Project Ourchive is thrilled to announce our collaboration with the Delhi Council for Child Welfare (DCCW). A reputed non-profit organization based in New Delhi, India, the DCCW has worked with over 300,000 children from low-income and underserved communities over the last 70 years. With programs and services ranging from providing a home for lost/abandoned children, medical care, nutrition, rehabilitation of special needs children, vocational training and facilitating education.
Our relationship with the DCCW began with our founder, Adiva Goel’s independent volunteering work at Bal Kalyan Parishad Gaddipur Center, a creche for children from underserved communities, between the ages of 3-6, which is operated by the DCCW. Building on these foundations, Project Ourchive is collaborating with the DCCW to spread awareness about and promote engagement with oral storytelling traditions among the children and young adults the DCCW works with, specifically by conducting interactive sessions on these topics with the students, as well as distributing educational materials to encourage further engagement with oral storytelling as an art form and cultural practice.
